Andy Mouse by Keith Haring 1958-1990
Pop artist and icon keith haring, much like his artistic idol Andy Warhol, used bright colors, bold lines and simple subject matters. Andy Mouse represents Andy Warhole and Micky Mouse which could be the symbol of American pop culture and Capitalism.
Cindy Sherman 1954-Pre
A great artist Cindy Sherman. Sherman works in series, typically photographing herself in a range of costumes.
She used herslef as a tool for her works.

Yossi Lemel who is one of the great graphic artists designed the poster about sadness on the terrible tsunami in Japan in March, 2011. He combined two things, devastated Japan and creepy tsunami, in a simple a visual. The melting red symbol

Institutionalized Abstract Art by Richard Serra 1939-pre
This is a huge drawing of a black circle on the wall. The black circle is not centered so I could feel some movements in tension. It can be bounding or falling or flying but I a m not sure which is a correct answer among these is. This sort of unsure feelings would be a predictable reaction of watchers in front of an abstract work. However, the title, Institutionalized Abstract Art, indicates that people don’t get shocked or panic by an abstract work like this anymore. People understand this is an abstract work which is normally avant-garde which is not controversial any more. So people don’t be obsessed with the reason why the circle is not centered or painted only in black. They just feel what they see.
My drawings
I completed these two water color paintings in 2008 in Seoul. At that time, I hardly had knowledge on painting although I was a fashion desginer. one day, I felt that I was designing things just to sell and this made me feel vacancy inside. The feeling on that day is not explainable even till now. I just wanted to be somewhat artistlike so started to draw them. My paitings are still not perfect and looks a little unfinished but these remind me of my old memories and passon.
Let me people go surfing by Yvon Chouinard
The writer, Yvon Chrouinard is a rock climber, environemntalist and outdoor industry businessman. His company Patagonia is known for it's environmenatl focus. while reading this book, I felt that he was very passionated and didn't pretend. He loved nature and clmibing, that's it. People think he is a smart businessman but i think his philosophy on climbing is a little far from business. He cares about qauity of clothing, human and nature. Money was almost the last thing on his list. Patagonia is one of my favoutie brands and someday wanna designsomething like it.
